Reporting on work done in early February in Delhi to improve the technical quality of programming materials recorded in the Delhi studio. Needed, much lower noise and appropriate adjustments to the sound field to reduce unwanted room resonances.

Building a studio or renovating an existing office in an Asian mega-city is a real challenge. Good quality recordings require a very quiet space. No one wants to hear honking horns, stomping feet, the shouts of students or even the routine office conversations in the background of the program they are listening to. The Delhi studio which produces programming for the Northern India market was suffering from serious noise problems.
